Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub receives $49M federal grant

The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) granted $49 million in Phase 2 funding to the Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub, an initiative to position Wisconsin as a global leader in personalized medicine. The UW Department of Radiology played a pivotal role in earning the federal tech hub designation and is on the forefront of the transformative work the funding will drive.

Pallavi Tiwari awarded $3.4M NIH/NCI grant to study use of AI to detect tumor extent in Glioblastoma

Pallavi Tiwari, PhD received a $3.4 million, multi-institutional grant from the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute for the project “Radiomic spatial maps for identifying viable tumor extent on multi-parametric MRI for Glioblastoma.” This novel project will be the first to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to detect hard-to-see glioblastoma tumor edges during a clinical trial.

Fellowship class of 2025-2026 announced

The UW Department of Radiology's Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention, and Breast Imaging & Intervention fellowship programs along with the Interventional Radiology Independent program participated in the Radiology Fellowship Match Day on June 12. We proudly announce our matches as well as our Abdominal Imaging & Intervention and Cardiothoracic Imaging fellows for the 2025-2026 year.
