Residents as Teachers
There is strong presence for Radiology medical student education in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health’s forward curriculum. UW Radiology faculty are leading educators across the entire 4 years of medical training with many opportunities for residents-lead teaching of medical students.
- Residents participate in teaching 1st and 2nd year medical students as part of the Integrated Radiology-Anatomy course led by Allison M Grayev, MD, as well as Mind and Motion course led by Jason W Stephenson, MD, and Acute care block for 3rd year students lead by Tabassum (Tabby) A Kennedy, MD.
- Residents lead reading room teaching of medical students on radiology electives for 3rd and 4th year medical students.
- Additional teaching opportunities are available for residents who wish to expand their teaching skills or seek a career in academics.
