4th Year Diagnostic Radiology Residents

Ryan was born and raised in southeastern Wyoming. After attending the University of Wyoming on a cross country scholarship, where he earned degrees in Molecular Biology and Human Physiology, he graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. Prior to beginning radiology residency, he completed a general surgery internship at UW Health. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife Emily, a UW Health pharmacist, and his dog Stretch. His hobbies include running, mountain climbing, board games, and watching sports.
Phil grew up in Detroit just a few away miles from 8 Mile. He stayed on for college and medical school at the University of Michigan, where he also earned two master’s degrees. Phil completed a transitional year in Grand Rapids, after which the program was closed permanently. He is now best known for his work with the bodega. He speaks a little Mandarin and once spent a summer doing research in Beijing. More recently, Phil attended ASNR in Boston and gave a little talk on AI. In his free time, he likes to spend almost all of his time staring at screens.
After growing up in Appleton, Brad moved to Houston to attend Rice University earning his degrees in bioengineering and mathematics. He then spent some time in San Francisco working for Genentech before moving back to Wisconsin where he attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Brad completed his transitional year in Chicago where he developed an affinity for Turkish food and the finer things. He now spends much of his free time rock climbing, running, golfing, and doing his two hours of studying every day to become a better radiology resident.
Matt is originally from Milwaukee, but grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. A classical musician before pursuing a career in medicine, he attended Arizona State University for his undergraduate and graduate degrees in music performance, and the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix for medical school. Matt completed his preliminary year in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In his free time, he enjoys reading, and going for long walks with his German Shepherd.
Varun grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. While touring college campuses, he stumbled upon the Memorial Union Terrace at the University of Wisconsin, which he promptly decided to attend. After college, Varun spent two years researching at the National Institutes of Health. Then, he completed medical school and internship at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. In his free time, Varun enjoys sailing on Lake Mendota, exploring around the Picnic Point trails, and trying out new restaurants in Madison.
Jordan grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska where he completed his undergraduate studies and served in the Alaska Air National Guard as a jet engine mechanic. Later, he attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA followed by a preliminary year in internal medicine at UW Health. Outside of work, Jordan loves biking to work, running, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Nick is originally from Milwaukee, WI, although he moved to Madison to complete his undergraduate studies and medical school at UW-Madison. He completed a general surgery intern year at UW-Madison, and following residency, will stay for a fellowship in neuroradiology. He and his wife, Hayley have three children: Eleanor, Sebastian, and Juliette. Outside of work, Nick enjoys golfing, running, and fly fishing.
